Kitchenistanis upset with public artwork

The people of Kitchenistan found something odd on the walls today.

Color.

And they were not happy. This has been a place with a long tradition of graffitti scrawled on walls and public spaces---so initial reaction was that this was an act of defacement. When it was pointed out that the walls had simply been colored and no anti-government slogans or crude male genetalia images had been applied, Kitchenistanis got angrier.

"We were expecting something more militaristic. Or natural. Something green! Not this Mojave sand color."

"Blech. This looks like the color of a living room to me---not our proud land of Kitchenistan."

I had the same reaction. Originally, I thought this photo showed another kitchen similar to ours in another color...

...nope, the painters just screwed up. They will be back tomorrow.
