Progress Progressing

Now things can start to move fast...

Passed the electrical inspection yesterday. Which means that now:

Wires can be pulled and switches hooked up

Lighting can start to be installed

Some extra insulation can go in before drywall goes up

Windows can start to go in

Countertops can be measured and fabricated

Flooring can be put in

And all that starts to goes into place this week. Jose has started to wire the conduit already. Waiting on the ballast for the lighting, but it is largely ready to be delivered. Jeremy picked up batting for the bathrooms---neat stuff, made from recycled denim. Windows (the tall and wide) along with the door (though it will not have glass yet) should go in Wednesday. A template for the countertops will be created the same day. Getting drywall quotes and that should be started by the end of the week.

If only the weather would cooperate. More snow yesterday. More delays on the stucco, which prevents any other exterior work. According to Tom Skilling, this is the 3rd worst winter in the last decade. That is just the sort of stupid, useless insight that makes you love Tom...and makes you curse yourself as you repeat it... Anyway, the cold and snow have prevented the stucco guys from doing anything this month. Hopefully March will be kinder, cuz we want to be done next month!
