Concrete. Complete.

Progress continued Saturday. Marious the concrete guy and his crew were back to pour the basement extension floor as well as building out the walkway that runs along the north end of the property to connect the alley to the basement and patio. They did a nice job---and I like the old school sidewalk with a boxed-in brushed center. They return to cut some drain holes and notches for joists, but that's it. This concludes one of the largest portions of our show!

Concrete did not sprout up without some issues though. We had to pour a new replacement walkway for Mr. Price to replace the one ripped out initially. The rammed a mini-bulldozer into the other neighbor's fence... And when cleaning up yesterday, dumped concrete and slurry into someone's yard across the alley. Irritating. Not just to me, but the guy who owns the yard. He made sure I was aware of it... I actually went over there and dug out what I could, but the contractor will have to do the full cleanup.

Anyway, from here, it is carpentry for a couple weeks as Jeremy begins to build out the kitchen addition walls, puts joists in place, and replaces a subfloor. The framing for the walls will really start to make things take shape before Thanksgiving.
