The tall and the wide are in place...Well, the frames for the windows are anyway.
The glass will go in later. It will be this milky laminated glass so as to let in light but obscure the lovely view of our neighbor's wall...
The architect will be irked as he wanted us to use sandblasted glass. However, those in the know tells us not to use that material as it is a pain to keep clean. These windows are not exactly in an easy spot to polish regularly--inset a half foot back in the wall...
In a recent email, he implied that the laminated glass would make the kitchen feel like a public restroom. Clearly, he is more focused on lavatory decor than us as I don't really know where that association comes from...it must be weird to be an architect. Details that the rest of us mortals do not catch. (Sorry, that probably sounds dismissive, not meant to be---I just honestly don't register that level of details...in bathrooms anyway.)
Anyway, too late, the order is in. I think it will look OK.
