Field Reports from Kitchenistan

And now back to the regularly scheduled news programming.

Limited news from Kitchenistan where the situation on the ground seem hazy and ever-changing. Reports of opening borders and an end to the 6-month famine seem bolstered by photos smuggled into the Homeland today.

In one, we see fabricated steel supports inside and out of the country, with the beginnings of the outdoor ipe deck in place to show the blurring of house and patio.

In the other it looks as though a full-sized refrigerator sits amidst the haze, implying that food will soon flow back into Kitchenistan. (Also note the presence of OSB suspended from the ceiling to illustrate the look of "the tongue" transition between the Homeland and Kitchenistan. Not quite the size or location...but we begin to get an idea.)

This week should be big. Hoping for:

  • Floor - re-sand and finish
  • Fence - posts go in
  • Deck - put in the rest and finish top of wood; begin planter and "back stop" construction
  • Finish plumbing? Maybe...
  • Finish electrical? Maybe...probably not though...
  • Counter top installation? Maybe...
  • Cabinet doors? Maybe...
  • Painting? Maybe...
