Fresh Lime Soda

Didn't write last night, but did get ahold of some of Jeff's pics. This one makes me pine for a refreshing drink as summer wanes...

As mentioned in yesterday's missive, we drank a lot of the mix-your-own that is known as fresh lime soda. Here's the typical kit as it is delivered to your table:

• bottle of club soda
• a finger of fresh lime juice
• some sort of super sweet gooey sweetener
• this restaurant had swanky stirrers...
• apparently one big hand
  

They are yummy. We've been trying these at home, but it has not worked well. Kayro syrup is not an appropriate sweetener and our limes just don't taste right. Oh well. If you stumble on a recipe, lemme know.
